Gingko biloba

  • Gingko biloba is a slow growing deciduous large tree growing 20m x 12m with bright green fan shaped foliage turning golden yellow in autumn.

Gingko prefers deep sandy soils and moderate moisture, likes full sun and is adaptable to pH and almost any other conditions. It is pest free, tolerant of pollution, salt air, and heat.

Renowned for its medicinal properties, this remarkable tree is known as a 'living fossil', as it is the sole survivor of an ancient group of trees that date back to beyond the time of the dinosaurs.
