Betula pendula 'Dalecarlica' is a very graceful specimen tree with distinctive feathery foliage, pendulous branch tips and fine white bark.

Growing 11m x 6m, the Cut Leaf Birch is slender enough to be included in a small garden without appearing too dominant, but is also effective in larger areas planted alone or in groups.

It has mid-green leaves with a deeply cut margin that turn butter yellow in autumn and are held in a pendulous fashion on the upright fine branches that become lightly pendulous as the tree matures.
