The Red Oak is an attractive, well structured tree with good autumn colour. It is ideal for larger parks and garden situations or as a street tree where space permits. Broad rounded, with a spreading, symmetrical crown. Relatively fast growing when young, eventually becoming a large tree to @20m. Oaks can tolerate poor soil and drought conditions but do not like alkaline soils or salt winds.
